Body of 21-year-old found in commercial parking lot in Longueuil

Longueuil police are investigating the suspicious death of a 21-year-old man whose body was found in a public parking lot.

Longueuil police (SPAL) are investigating the suspicious death of a 21-year-old man whose body was found in a public parking lot early Sunday morning.

According to the SPAL, officers were first called Saturday night to assist Blainville police in locating a missing person. Blainville police said the victim’s mother reported him missing around 10 p.m. Saturday.

The man had been last seen in Longueuil prompting the file to be transferred to the SPAL.

After several checks, the man’s body was found in a commercial parking lot near the intersection of Roland-Therrien and Antoinette-Robidoux at about 3 a.m.

A SPAL spokesperson said the death was pronounced on scene before the victim was transported to hospital.

“For now, it’s a suspicious death, so of course we want to understand what happened,” the spokesperson said.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
