Bell becomes official sponsor of Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix

Bell has become the official sponsor of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix, the telecommunications company announced Tuesday.

As the owner, promoter, and official broadcaster, Bell believes this strengthened partnership will generate lasting economic benefits for Montreal, Canada, and local communities.

“As official promoter, our priority is to deliver a world‑class Formula 1 experience for fans—on site and across Bell’s platforms— while ensuring the Grand Prix continues to create strong economic and community impact," said Jean-Philippe Paradis, president, Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada and senior vice-president, sales, Bell Business Markets and Wholesale Services, in a press release.

“We are proud to unveil Bell GPCanada ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada, reflecting our long-term commitment to this iconic event and to the important role it plays for Montréal and for Canada,” added Mirko Bibic, president and CEO of BCE and Bell.

The announcement is a logical follow-up to the announcement made two days after the cancellation of the 2021 Canadian Grand Prix, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

At the time, Bell announced that it had acquired Octane Racing Group, formerly led by François Dumontier. Octane Racing Group has now been renamed “Bell GPCanada.”

The Lenovo Canadian Grand Prix will take place at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on May 24.
