300 new parking spaces coming to Pierrefonds-Roxboro REM stations

Parking is about to get a lot easier for REM riders in the Pierrefonds-Roxboro area, with more than 300 new spaces being made available between two stations.

In a Facebook past, Borough Mayor Jim Beis said as of Aug. 21, another 120 parking spaces will be added to the Sunnybrooke REM station, bringing the total 453.

Then, as of Aug. 27, another 203 spaces will be added to the Pierrefonds-Roxboro station, bringing the total number of free parking spaces there to 823.

“This is something we’ve been asking for for quite some time and is certainly a step in the right direction to encourage people to use the REM,” said Beis in the post.
