Quebec provincial police (SQ) arrested three and are looking for a fourth after a car and foot chase overnight in Montreal. The SQ says officers tried to intercept a vehicle on Highway 30 around 3 a.m. after the driver allegedly committed several traffic violations. SQ squad cars began a pursuit with assistance from a helicopter. After the vehicle was abandoned, a foot chase ensued, and the three suspects were arrested in Saint-Michel near 24th Avenue. A fourth remains on the run. A man in his 20s remains in custody, while two teenage suspects were released with promises to appear in court. Police seized the vehicle and say the suspects could face several charges, including dangerous driving, possession of stolen property and possessing a prohibited weapon.
