TORONTO - Lottery players have a chance to ring in the new year with a real bang -- once again there's a $50-million top prize in Friday night's Lotto Max draw.
No one had the winning numbers Christmas Eve, so the $50-million prize will be up for grabs again New Year's Eve.
As well, because the jackpot is capped at $50 million, there will be 18 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million each -- up from 10 last week.
Sarah Kiriliuk of Ontario Lottery and Gaming says sales have been a little slower for this week's draw.
She says many people were buying tickets as Christmas presents and stocking stuffers last week.
