What’s open and closed in London on Family Day Monday

Family Day is this Monday, Feb. 16. As a provincial statutory holiday some places will be open for business, and some places will be closed for the day.

From free recreational activities offered by the City of London to shopping malls and curbside garbage pickup, here’s what’s open and closed this Family Day Monday.

OPEN

• Free recreational activities put on the City of London, including swimming, crafts, badminton, family open gym, Zumba, science workshops, etc. (a full list of activities can be found online)
• Boler Mountain (open all weekend, fireworks scheduled for 9 p.m. on Sunday night)
• Storybook Gardens (skating trail is open seven days a week)
• London Children’s Museum
• Movie theatres
• The Factory
• Some pharmacies (check online or call ahead for specific hours of operation)
• London Transit (operating on a holiday schedule)
• Canada Post mail delivery and collection

CLOSED

• City of London administrative offices
• London Public Library
• No curbside garbage, recycling or compost collection
• All public schools, Western University and Fanshawe College
• Banks
• Most grocery stores (check online or call ahead for specific hours of operation)
• All LCBO locations
• All Beer Store locations
• Masonville Place
• White Oaks Mall
• Westmount Shopping Centre
