Snow and cold grip London, but will transition to mixed precipitation

London, Ont. faces a chilly start to the week with snow and strong winds, gradually giving way to milder temperatures and a chance of mixed precipitation by Thursday.

Periods of snow are expected Sunday, with an amount of two centimetres. The wind will become northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 near noon. The high will be 1 Celsius. Wind chill will be -6 this morning. The UV index is 1 or low.

Periods of snow will continue Sunday night, with an additional 2 cm expected. Winds will be northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50. The low will be -4, with wind chill -13 overnight.

Monday:

• Cloudy with 40 percent chance of flurries. Wind north 40 km/h gusting to 60. High -4C. Wind chill near -15C. UV index 2 or low. Overnight, expect cloudy periods with 40 percent chance of flurries and a low of -13C.

Tuesday:

• Cloudy with 30 percent chance of flurries. High -7C. Overnight, expect periods of snow with a low of -7C.

Wednesday:

• Cloudy with a high of 1C. Overnight, it will be cloudy with a 60 percent chance of snow or rain and a low of -3C.

Thursday:

• Cloudy with a 60 percent chance of snow or rain and a high of 1C. Overnight, expect cloudy conditions with a 40 percent chance of snow and a low of -5C.

Friday:

• Cloudy with a high of 4C. Overnight, it will be cloudy with a low of 1C.

Saturday:

• Cloudy with a high of 5C.
