Shooting investigation in downtown London

One man has been taken to hospital after a shooting in downtown London. CTV London’s Reta Ismail has the details.

London police are investigating a shooting in the downtown area.

Just before 12:30 p.m., multiple 911 calls were made, reporting a person was shot near Dundas and Wellington.

Police arrived on scene and said they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police had Dundas Street closed between Clarence Street and Wellington Street for a period of time for the investigation, but it has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing and in its early stages, but police say there is no risk to public safety.
