RBC Place in London is expanding. Starting Oct. 1, the convention centre will add the former Hilton Hotel Ballroom across the street, now known as the King Street Ballroom, to its lineup of event spaces. The 12,000 square foot ballroom will be connected to RBC Place by an elevated pedway. It’s designed to handle everything from large conventions to smaller gatherings, with three flexible sections and a foyer. General Manager and CEO Darrin Pollard says the move keeps essential event space available in the downtown core, calling it “a win for clients, the city, and London’s economy.” The new ballroom will be fully serviced by RBC Place staff, with food, beverage, and a new satellite kitchen.
