If you were at LifeLabs Woodstock recently at 510 Ingersoll Avenue, you may have been exposed to measles. Southwestern Public Health is alerting the public of the incident on Feb. 12 from 10:11 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. Anyone who was at LifeLabs Woodstock in that timeframe, was born in 1970 or later, and is not up to date with vaccinations is asked to call public health at 1-800-922-0096 extension 1232. Public health said that includes people who were even present for a short time, as measles is highly contagious and can stay in the air for up to two hours. Potential complications of measles include diarrhea, ear infections, and pneumonia. In rare cases, it can cause brain infections and death.
