A novice driver will be without a licence for the next month after allegedly speeding 160 km/h in Lambton County. According to a social media post, Lambton County OPP have charged a total of three people with stunt driving over the past 24 hours. Police that in the most recent case, a novice driver was observed travelling more than 160 km/h in a posted 110 km/h zone. As a result, the driver will have their licence suspended for 30 days, their vehicle will be impounded for 14 days, and they’ll have to make an upcoming court appearance. OPP say that while people are once again enjoying the sunshine, drivers shouldn’t let it distract them from their speed. “Driving at these speeds doesn’t just put the driver at risk, it puts everyone on the road in danger,” OPP said. “Keep your focus on the road, watch your speed, and make safe choices behind the wheel. Everyone deserves to get home safely.”
