True spring weather is finally here, with comfortable temperatures and plenty of sunshine in store for the Forest City over the coming days. According to CTV News London Meteorologist Julie Atchison, temperatures held in the mid 20s across most of southern Ontario with the exception along the shoreline of Lake Huron on Wednesday due to a passing cold front that shifted winds to the northwest. “So that cooler air is now coming downwind to the lake and keeping the lakeshore communities on the cooler side in the mid to upper teens,” she said. Skies will be clear Wednesday night with winds of 20 km/h and a low of 10 C. Atchison says high pressure will reestablish itself over the Great Lakes, leading to “a bit of a blocking pattern in the upper atmosphere.” As a result, the forecast will be consistent over the coming days. “So much of the same for us,” she said. “Temperatures will be in the low 20s, comfortable conditions, low humidity and really just some absolutely spectacular weather for this time of year.” Beginning Thursday temperatures will hold between 20 to 22 C with plenty of sunshine. Overnight temperatures will be similar, with clear skies and temperatures ranging from 8 C to 11 C. “No rain in sight, dry conditions with sunshine and comfortable temperatures,” Atchison said.
