The London Knights just didn’t have enough offensive firepower. A 4-0 shutout loss to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in Game 5 of their Ontario Hockey League playoff series ended their season Friday Apr. 3, 2026. The Knights managed just nine goals over the five games and lost all three contests at Canada Life Place (by a combined score of 11-3) despite working down the stretch to earn home-ice advantage over the Greyhounds in the postseason. A season after winning the Memorial Cup and losing the majority of their roster either to the professional ranks or via trade at the deadline in January, the Knights still managed to win 40 games and finish fourth in the Western Conference. The Greyhounds will move on to face Kitchener in round two, while the other Western Conference series has Windsor facing Flint.
