A London resident has been identified as the victim of a head-on collision involving an SUV and a transport truck in Thames Centre, according to police. Emergency crews were called to Dundas Street near Fairview Road at about 12:56 p.m. on Aug. 26 after reports of a serious collision involving the two vehicles. The driver of the transport truck was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The driver of the SUV, a 40-year-old from London, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, police said. On the day of the crash, Dundas Street was closed for several hours between Fairview Road and Shaw Road while investigators examined the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. There is no word on how the crash happened or if any charges will be laid.
