The London Knights have to find a way to hold a lead late in the third period. For the second straight game on a northern road trip, they blew a lead in the final minutes of regulation time. The Sudbury Wolves Mason Walker scored with 1:37 left in the third period to send the game to overtime, where the Wolves beat London 4-3. Just one night earlier, the North Bay Battalion scored with one second left in the third period to send their game with London to extra time, but London won that one. Marcus Nordmark, Thomas Zocco, and Jaxon Cover all scored for London, who remain two points behind Guelph for top spot in the Midwest Division. The Wolves played the game wearing custom blueberry-patterned Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs jerseys inspired by the hit Crave/Hulu TV series Shoresy. The jerseys were then auctioned off to support local children’s sports and community programs. London will wrap up a three game in four days road trip with a matinee in Sault Ste. Marie Sunday.
