‘I was in shock’: London truck driver celebrates $151K lotto win

A 73-year-old truck driver from London has big plans on how to spend his windfall after winning a $151,000 jackpot last month.

According to a news release from OLG, Piotr P. of London was dealt a winning hand with Poker Lotto after winning the progressive jackpot worth $151,085.40 on March 11.

Piotr, a truck driver, says this is his first major win.

“I was in shock when I discovered it,” he recalled. “It’s unreal!”

The 73-year-old says the first thing he did was head home so he could tell his wife.

“I was very excited,” he said.

What does Piotr plan to do with newfound windfall? He says he plans to pay some bills and do some work around the house.

“I’m also considering taking a vacation,” he added.

The winning ticket was purchased at Canadian Tire Gas+ on Wonderland Road South in London.
