Heating up this week as the dry stretch holds

CTV News London meteorologist Julie Atchison has the latest forecast for the region

Lots of sunshine and dry weather continues across southwestern Ontario.

According to CTV News London meteorologist Julie Atchison, the upper air pattern is holding and that means not much is changing with our forecast over the next four to five days.

“As we head towards the weekend, we will have some showers move in. But until then clear skies and sun temperatures in the low to mid 20s through the afternoon,” she said.

We continue under an east north easterly flow with a clear sky tonight and the temperature dropping down to eight degrees in London.

“Sunshine continues as we head into Tuesday at 23 degrees for the high, 27 on Wednesday. The humidity slowly starts to creep in and it’s getting hot as we push towards Thursday with the forecast high of 29,” Atchison added.

Monday Night: Clear. Low 8.

Tuesday: Sunny. Wind becoming north 20 km/h in the afternoon. High 23. UV index 8 or very high.

Wednesday: Sunny. High 27.

Thursday: Sunny. High 29.

Friday: A mix of sun and cloud. High 27.

Saturday: A mix of sun and cloud with 40 percent chance of showers. High 25.
