The Elgin-Middlesex Regional Fire School is celebrating the graduation of 46 recruits. These graduates have successfully completed their NFPA 1001 Firefighter Level I and II training Representing communities across Elgin and Middlesex Counties, this year’s graduating class includes individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, including policing, paramedicine, corrections, healthcare, and more. Over the past several months, recruits worked to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to serve in the fire service. “Congratulations to the Class of 2026, and thank you to everyone who contributed to their success,” a statement from the County of Elgin reads. “We wish these new firefighters all the best as they begin this next chapter of service to their communities.”
