Environment Canada issues severe thunderstorm warning for London region

London is at risk for severe thunderstorms beginning Tuesday afternoon.

Environment Canada says they’re tracking a cluster of thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rain.

A 60 per cent chance of rainfall is expected reach 50 to 75 mm, with the potential of flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Take cover if a thunderstorm approaches and don’t drive through flooded roadways.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when storms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

The warning remains in place for London, Parkhill and Eastern Middlesex County.

Showers and risk of thunderstorm continues into Wednesday, with 60 per cent chance of showers.
