Cloudy skies Thursday with showers possible

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison has your full weather forecast.

Waking up to mainly cloudy conditions Thursday after a night of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

“We’ll see some breaks of sunshine heading into the afternoon, but clouds will dominate through the better part of the day,” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “Gusty winds out there today as well.”

Atchison says winds gusting upwards of 60 to 70 km/h are expected this afternoon.

“Heading into your Friday, a mix of sun and clouds, still a slight chance for a few showers, but looking good for the weekend,” she added.

Thursday: Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers. Risk of a thunderstorm this morning. Wind southwest 20 km/h becoming west 40 gusting to 70 this morning. High 20. UV index 6 or high.

Thursday night: Cloudy with 30 per cent chance of showers early this evening then partly cloudy. Wind west 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light late this evening. Low 12.

Friday: Increasing cloudiness early in the morning. 30 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon. Wind becoming northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 in the morning. High 21. UV index 7 or high.

Saturday: A mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of showers. High 22.

Sunday: Sunny. High 23.
