Mild temperatures stick around in London ahead of rain and possible thunderstorms

Julie Atchison has the latest forecast for southwestern Ontario

Temperatures are on the mild side today in the London region today — we’ve hit seven degrees in London, with midwestern Ontario, ranging from five to plus eight.

“We’ll hold on to the warmth as we head through the overnight. There’s a slight risk for some light showers in advance of our next weather system that’s coming in for Thursday,” said meteorologist Julie Atchison.

As we head into Thursday, there is the chance for rainfall coming in with the possibility of a thunderstorm.

Temperatures are set to surge extremely mild for tomorrow at 13 degrees.

We’re down to plus one on Friday with lots of sunshine and a mix of sun and clouds Saturday and Sunday with daytime highs over the weekend coming back up.

A nice warming trend developing as we head into early next week and as April arrives.

Wednesday night: Cloudy. 40 per cent chance of showers overnight. Wind southeast 20 km/h becoming light near midnight. Temperature steady near 7.

Thursday: Rain. Windy. High 16.

Friday: Sunny. High plus 1.

Saturday: A mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of flurries. High plus 5.

Sunday: A mix of sun and cloud. High 7.
