An agreement in principle has been reached between the Bluewater District School Board and its bus operator. According to the board, transportation will proceed as normal for September. As reported on Thursday, school board officials returned to the bargaining table with bus operators in Grey-Bruce, trying to avoid potential job action. Parents were notified earlier this week there may be school bus disruptions in September, impacting close to 16,000 students. School bus company officials had issued a deadline for Friday to get a deal, otherwise putting September bus service in jeopardy.
