According to CTV News London’s Reta Ismail, a low-pressure system has moved out of the region, but gusty winds will remain on Wednesday, with gusts of up to 50 km/h and a high of 12 C expected throughout the day. The low will dip down to 5 C overnight Wednesday, with a 40 per cent chance of showers. Looking ahead to Thursday, Ismail says overcast skies will linger, with the daytime high only peaking at 13 C. Skies will clear Thursday night, but the temperature will plummet with a low of 1 C. By comparison, the daytime high and nighttime low temperatures in London for this time of year are 20 C and 8 C respectively. Ismail says beginning Friday, temperatures swing up to 20 C with a mix of sun and cloud, and that only sets for the tone for the upcoming long weekend. “There’s that big warm up Saturday through to holiday Monday,” she said. Temperatures will soar in London for the Victoria Day long weekend, with daytime highs of 27 C, 26 C and 29 C expected on Saturday, Sunday and Monday respectively, with plenty of sunshine in the forecast.
