Hollywood isn’t usually kind to aging superstars. But that doesn’t appear to be the case for Tom Cruise.

To the world’s amazement, the Hollywood star will celebrate his 50th birthday July 3. Yet his boyish face has remained virtually unchanged since the actor headlined “Top Gun,” the highest-grossing film of 1986.

Now Cruise has let the world in on his anti-aging secret: it’s bird poop.

Known as the Geisha Facial, this Japanese beauty treatment called Uguisu no fun(or “nightingale feces”) was first popularized in Hollywood by Victoria Beckham.

This anti-aging formula is literally made from powdered nightingale excrement, which is blended with rice bran and water and then applied to the face.

“The excrement apparently helps with exfoliation,” said Ben Mulroney on Friday on CTV’s Canada AM.

Exfoliation is believed to play a pivotal role in turning back the hands of time.

The Geisha Facial also, reportedly, lightens and balances skin that has been damaged by acne or excessive sun exposure.

A source close to Cruise relayed the star’s anti-aging secret to the British publication, Now Daily.

Cruise’s odd anti-aging facial treatment doesn’t come cheap, however.

“It’s about US$180 bucks a pop,” said Mulroney.

Yet according to this source close to Cruise, the actor and producer makes no apologies for using the concoction to defy Mother Nature.

“Tom says this facial isn’t any weirder than Botox injections. He’s proud of it,” said Mulroney.

“Tom’s career has never been hotter, and people say he’s never looked better,” he said.
