Parents can help reduce the number of injuries, by following these guidelines to play safe:

  • 1. Wear protective gear
  • 2. Warm Up
  • a. Get the family/ child (dependant on age) to go for a brisk walk before they get active.

b. Parents should show by example: remind your kids to get warmed up even before you start playing in the backyard. It can be as short as two minutes.

c. You can mimic the game that you're already playing and just do it as a lighter pace and then get more intense.
