Guelph Police say approximately $5,000 worth of product was stolen from a local business. The owner arrived Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and saw a woman on the property. She allegedly had a large pile of potted plants loaded onto a cart and said she planned to buy the products but she needed to go get cash. The owner only realized after the suspect left that multiple pots and plants were missing. Police said the woman had also rearranged some of the displays. The total financial loss was estimated at $2,000 to $5,000. The suspect was described as a white woman in her mid 60’s and brown hair. She was wearing a black Spyder puffer jacket, blue jeans and running shoes. Anyone with information is being urged to call Guelph Police at 519-824-1212, ext. 7226.
