The Guelph Police Service is looking for a woman who snatched another woman’s purse while she was walking in the city’s north end. A victim called the Guelph Police Service around 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday morning. She said she had been in the Speedvale Avenue East and Stevenson Street North area when another woman walked up to her, pushed her in the chest and stole her purse. The victim said she tried to chase the thief, but the other woman pulled out the victim’s wallet and threw the bag, and all its other contents, away. The victim’s wallet was later found on Metcalfe Street, but all her cash and bank cards were gone. The suspect has been described as a 5’3” white woman in her 30s with a heavy build. She had dark brown hair worn in a bun and wore a black T-shirt, black pants and black shoes and carried several duffle bags.
