Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a pair of robberies at Kitchener restaurants. The first happened Monday, around 10:40 p.m., at a plaza near Fairway Road South and Wilson Avenue. The second was reported Wednesday around 9:50 p.m. near Fairway Road North and Lackner Boulevard. Investigators said a male suspect entered the businesses, approached the employees and demanded cash. He left both times with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was described as wearing black pants, a black face covering, and goggles. One time he had a grey hoodie, then a black hoodie during the second robbery. There were no reported injuries.
