Two men were arrested as part of a crackdown on drug trafficking. The Waterloo Regional Police said officers were in the Mill Creek Trail area on July 7 around 11:15 a.m. when they saw a man selling drugs. Officers arrested the 34-year-old, seized suspected hydromorphone, and charged him with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Two days later, officers were in the Ainslie Street North area around 10:10 a.m. when they saw another man who they believed was selling drugs. He was arrested and police seized suspected methamphetamine and oxycodone, a slingshot and metal ball bearings. A 59-year-old man was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a dangerous weapon.
