Three youths have been charged following and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision in Mapleton Township that sent three people to hospital. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle rollover on a Ruth Anne Place at about 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 26. Police said three people were on the ATV when it crashed into a ditch. Two were taken to a local hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries, while a third was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old from Mapleton Township was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm, driving without a license, driving without plates, unlawfully driving an off-road vehicle on a highway, two counts of allowing a passenger to ride without a proper helmet and driving with a passenger seated improperly. A 14-year-old and a 13-year-old, both from Drayton, were each charged with failing to wear a proper helmet.
