Police release new photo as part of armed home invasion investigation in Kitchener

The Waterloo Regional Police Service has released an image of a vehicle as part of an investigation into a home invasion in Kitchener.

Officers were called to a disturbance in the Selkirk Drive and Geneva Crescent area on July 10 around 11 a.m.

They were told a male suspect walked into the home through an open back door, took out a handgun and was confronted by two males inside the house. A fight ensued and police said the suspect used an edged weapon to hurt one of the males.

The suspect then ran to a waiting vehicle and left the area.

Investigators are now trying to identify the vehicle and its occupants.
