Amazon is building a new delivery station in Brant County. The County of Brant announced the plan on Thursday. They said the new building will span over 200,000 square feet on Rest Acres Road near Highway 403. The county confirmed the facility will be built near the Brant County OPP building. That area has seen significant changes over recent years, including the development of a Ford Distribution Centre on Markel Drive in Paris, Ont. When the new Amazon building is complete, it will serve as a last mile delivery station, where packages received from Amazon fulfilment centres are sorted and loaded onto delivery vehicles enroute to their final destination. The county says there will be full-time, part-time and driver positions available through Amazon’s delivery service partners.
