A Guelph man has been charged for breaking into a business after he left something inside. Guelph Police Service officers went to the unnamed company on Willow Road and Westwood Road around 8:40 a.m. Wednesday after a passerby told them they had seen a smashed glass door. Investigators learned a man had gone to the business just after midnight to get items he had left inside, but the doors were locked. Police said he threw a rock through the glass door, grabbed his property and left. While watching the security footage, officers recognized the suspect. A 27-year-old Guelph man was arrested downtown and charged with mischief under $5,000.
