Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a male was sprayed with bear spray in Kitchener early Saturday morning. Police said they received a report around 5:05 a.m. of a male who had been sprayed in a parking lot near Charles Street East and Pandora Avenue North. The victim later made his way to a parking lot near Ottawa Street North and Weber Street East, where a bystander contacted emergency services. Officers found the victim suffering from minor injuries to his eyes and face. He received medical treatment and was taken to hospital. Investigators believe the incident occurred sometime between 4 and 5 a.m. Police are working to identify and locate the male suspect.
