Kitchener man charged in child sexual abuse and exploitation material investigation

A 25-year-old man from Kitchener has been arrested as part of an investigation into child sexual abuse and exploitation.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service launched their investigation in August, leading to the search of a Kitchener home on Thursday.

The 25-year-old man was charged with possession of child sexual assault and exploitation material and four counts of making child sexual abuse and exploitation material available.

Charges that include the phrase “child sexual abuse and exploitation material” formerly used the term “child pornography.”
