A 19-year-old Kitchener man is facing drug trafficking charges after Waterloo Regional Police seized suspected cocaine, prescription opioids and cash during an investigation earlier this month. Police said the arrest was made July 8 near Wilson Avenue and Fourth Avenue as part of an ongoing crime suppression initiative. Investigators seized a vehicle, executed a search warrant and recovered suspected cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone and an undisclosed amount of currency. The accused is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
