An arrest has been made as part of an investigation into two restaurant robberies in Kitchener. Waterloo Regional Police Service officers were called to a plaza near Fairway Road South and Wilson Avenue on Aug. 10 around 10:40 p.m. Two days later, officers were called to another restaurant robbery in the Fairway Road North and Lackner Boulevard area around 9:50 p.m. Investigators said a male suspect walked into both businesses, approached the employees and demanded cash from the registers. Once he had what he wanted, he left. On Wednesday, police announced a 21-year-old from Kitchener had been arrested and charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of disguise with intent.
