Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fire that resulted in the death of a 50-year-old. Investigators said the incident happened Monday around 1 p.m. on Orchard Avenue. Firefighters were able to find the 50-year-old in the home at the time of the fire. Life-saving efforts were made by emergency responders, with the person later being pronounced dead at hospital. Norfolk County OPP’s crime unit is continuing to investigate with the Office of the Fire Marshall and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
