Brantford’s Kaden McGregor scored four powerplay goals, leading the way to an 8-2 win over the Brantford Steelheads away from home Friday night. Abe Barnett got the Bulldogs off to their hot start only a minute into the contest, quickly followed by McGregor’s first of the game to take a 2-0 lead. The Steelheads cut the lead in half a few minutes later through a MacGregor Richmond effort, putting the score at 2-1. The McGregor onslaught didn’t end there, scoring two more powerplay goals in the first, completing his hat-trick under 20 minutes. The second frame scoring started like the first ended, with McGregor scoring his fourth goal, on another powerplay, with under 10 minutes to go in before the break. Owen DeGraff added another goal before the final intermission, taking a 5-1 lead into the third. Both teams scored in the third, with Sam Roberts and Cullen McCrate scoring for the Bulldogs, and Geno Carcone finding a consolation goal for the Steelheads, with a final score of 8-2 for the visitors. The win marks 10 wins on the season for Brantford. The Bulldogs will defend home ice in a return game against the Steelheads Saturday night.
