The Kitchener Rangers returned to winning ways, scoring in all three periods on rout to a 5-2 win over the North Bay Battalion. Friday night marked the Rangers’ Remembrance Day Game, where the team wore a special edition jersey, featuring the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium on the front in honour of its 75-year anniversary. Haeden Ellis and Cameron Arquette got off to a hot start in the first, scoring twice within 56 seconds of each other. The Rangers couldn’t keep the Battalion at bay, with Shamar Moses and Cam Warren scoring later in the frame to bring the game back to two apiece. Arquette bagged his second of the game in the second period, making the score 3-2 heading into the final 20 minutes. Two more goals followed for the Blueshirts, through a Tanner Lam effort and an Arquette empty-netter to complete the hat trick. The win on home ice was the first since a fiery game against Guelph in a 3-2 loss that saw the club fined $5,000 for post-game comments from bench boss Jeff Kyrzakos. The East Avenue Blue will make the trip Saturday night to Owen Sound to take on the Attack. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
