Waterloo Regional Police have charged a Kitchener man following a slew of thefts and robberies involving online marketplace deals gone south. Investigators say a male suspect was involved in nine online marketplace thefts of iPads and iPhones throughout Kitchener between May 22, 2026, and June 22, 2026. This includes a May 28 incident near Westheights Drive which police first reported as an armed robbery, before opening an investigation into the soured marketplace deal. An 18-year-old man was arrested after a search warrant was executed at a Kitchener home Friday. Police also recovered an imitation firearm and suspected stolen property. The Kitchener native was charged with:
