Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds vowed at their wedding to make each other laugh.

The couple married in secret on Sunday in the idyllic Boone Hall Plantation Charleston, South Carolina, and recited their own vows to one another and both promised to make the other happy.

A source revealed to People.com: "They promised to support and love each other and to make each other laugh.

"Ryan said he would treasure Blake; she said she would adore him. The whole time they were beaming."

At the reception, 25-year-old Blake - who previously enjoyed a romance with Leonardo DiCaprio -- and Ryan, 35, enjoyed after-dinner s'mores and a hosted a paper-lantern send-off.

The happy couple and their guests were also entertained by Florence + the Machine singer Florence Welsh who performed a rendition of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'.

The Marchesa-clad bride's eyes "started to well up" during the emotional performance.

The source added: "A llot of people started to well up, actually."

Ryan was previously engaged to Alanis Morrisette and married to Scarlett Johansson.
