Jennifer Aniston doesn't find it hard talking about Brad Pitt.

The 45-year-old actress was married to Pitt, 51, from 2000 to 2005, and insists they maintain a healthy relationship despite their high-profile split and Pitt's subsequent relationship with Angelina Jolie.

The former 'Friends' star said: "I don't find it painful. I think it's a narrative that follows you because it's an interesting headline. It's more of a media-driven topic."

In fact, Aniston revealed that she and Pitt still communicate with each other, although she confesses it's not something they do on a regular basis.

Aniston, who has been engaged to screenwriter Justin Theroux since 2012, told CBS: "We've exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but it's not a constant thing."

Her remarks come shortly after Jolie said being married to Pitt is an "extraordinary feeling."

The 39-year-old star, who tied the knot with the 'Fury' actor last year, said the ceremony was so special because it was shared with their children Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.

"As soon as it was all over, we all just changed clothes and hung out. It was just a very happy time," she said. "It wasn't this monumental change, we were just very happy and sure, and it's quite an extraordinary feeling to be so sure. It gives you peace."
