Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Joe Biagini was given a second chance to complete a high-five with The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon after a botched one made it to air this week.
Fallon said he was inundated with tweets about the botched high five that happened at the end of one of his shows. Biagini can be seen with his hand up while Fallon grazes it before continuing on.
Joe Biagini needs Twitter so I can ask if this is him. It is, right?!@BlueJayHunter @BringerOfRain20 @JoeyBats19 @MStrooo6 #FallonTonight pic.twitter.com/h21c0sq62G

I can't believe Jimmy Fallon didn't give Joe Biagini a high five cause leaving someone hanging with no high five is so wrong #BlueJays

“I felt bad, I thought maybe, ‘Well who knows, maybe he’s not that athletic,’” said Fallon on a following episode. “I looked him up and it turns out not only is he athletic, he’s a relief pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays.”
Biagini was then invited back to the show for a second chance at a high five with the late night host. The two built up the moment before settling into a 10-second-long freeze-frame style high-five to the tune of Joe Esposito’s You’re the Best.
