Suspicious death in central Edmonton under investigation: police

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man in the area of 112 Avenue and 82 Street Wednesday afternoon.

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 48-year-old man who was found in central Edmonton on Wednesday.

Officers found the man seriously injured around 12:58 p.m. in the area of 112 Avenue and 82 Street.

EMS treated the man and took him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Edmonton police homicide unit now has taken over the case. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
