Paper transit tickets must be used by end of year: ETS

Beginning in January, the orange paper ticket validators will be removed from LRT stops and replaced with additional Arc validators.

Paper tickets for Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) must be used by the end of the year, the city is reminding users.

In 2026, transit riders will only be able to pay for rides with Arc cards, Arc tickets, or cash.

Over January and February, the orange paper ticket validators in transit centres will be replaced with Arc validators.
