Man found dead in Chinatown victim of homicide: Edmonton police

Edmonton police identified a man found dead last Friday in what they say is a homicide.

A man found dead Friday night in Edmonton’s Chinatown is the victim of homicide, police said Wednesday morning in a media release.

A police patrol found the 42-year-old man, identified as Burton Lee Gambler, just before 9 p.m. Friday night near 97 Street and 107 Avenue, Edmonton police said.

An autopsy on Tuesday determined the means of his death. Police are not revealing the cause of death for investigative reasons, they said.
