Man faces 2nd-degree murder charges in Valleyview death

A man charged with second-degree murder will appear in Grande Prairie court Monday morning in connection with the death of a man northwest of Edmonton.

One man is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection with a death in Valleyview this week.

Mounties found Dolan Badger, 38, laying in the street near 3802 Highway St. late Thursday evening. He was declared dead on scene, and police at the time said his injuries were “suspicious.”

Valleyview RCMP called Badger’s death a murder in an updated release Saturday and announced they had arrested Jayden Houle, a 27-year-old Valleyview resident.

Houle was brought before a justice of the peace and remains in custody before another court date in Grande Prairie on Monday.
