Four facing charges following drugs and weapons investigation

Police in Sherwood Park said four people have been and arrested and are facing several charges, following a months-long investigation.

Strathcona County RCMP said investigators led a four-month investigation that saw investigators seize weapons, drugs and stolen property.

Officers seized a loaded, restricted .40 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun, and ammunition, cocaine and heroin, GHB, hash oil, hydromorphone and nearly a kilogram of methamphetamine. A number of pieces of stolen property including tools were also recovered.

Three men were arrested in Edmonton on November 26 in Edmonton, and a fourth was arrested early Thursday, December 3.

Now, a total of 105 charges have been laid in connection to this investigation.

Curtis James Workman, 43, of Sherwood Park is facing 77 charges related to possessing and trafficking stolen property, trafficking controlled substances, uttering death threats, intimidation of a justice system participant, and weapons charges. He’s expected to appear in court December 9.

Christopher Ferguson, 30, Nelson Eric Mizera, 25, and Loren Andrew Boyko, 48 are facing a combined total of 28 charges including possession and trafficking of controlled substance charges, and weapons offences.

Mizera has been released on bail.
