Mounties are looking to speak to people seen near the time and place of a Sherwood Park problem property fire in August. Strathcona County firefighters were called to Glengarry Crescent around 2 a.m. on Aug. 9 for a fire that crews were able to extinguish by 3:30 a.m. The building was still standing and no neighbouring properties were damaged. Investigators believe the fire was deliberately set. Police have shared surveillance video footage from 10:40 p.m. and 11:25 p.m., hours before the fire began. It shows three people walking a dog on Glengarry Crescent. Those people stop and seem to be speaking with two others on bicycles. Investigators want to speak with the people in the footage as they believe they may have information that could help the case. The house itself has seen dozens of complaints and was issued a notice earlier this year for residents to leave the property. RCMP had previously said it was working with county enforcement services and other agencies to deal with the issues around the home. Anyone with information about the details of the fire is asked to call Strathcona County RCMP at 780-467-7741.
